These signs sent me into uncontrollable laughter! Certainly, these signs are unnecessary considering the bridge, completed in 1957, stands 273 feet above the water. But maybe the Texas Highway department wanted to show off its sense of humor.

The last time I was at the Pecos River in West Texas was with our German exchange student who like most Germans was infatuated with the American west. She couldn't wait to see the Pecos she had read about. When we got there, it was as dry as a bone! I really would have doubled over laughing if those signs had been there.
I was about 6-years-old when I got my first camera...a box Brownie. I've been in love with the camera ever since. Digital set me free because I no longer have to worry about the cost of film and developing. Plus, that delete button gets rid of mistakes instantly. Friends and family have come to expect me to pull out a camera at any time. Friends are polite; family members groan but usually endure. I enjoy.
