Mom celebrated her 87th birthday on April 7. My friend Margie joined us for lunch at Acadiana's, Mom's favorite restaurant. The waiters and waitresses did a rousing "Happy Birthday" song, then an old gentleman playing the saxophone did the Happy Birthday song instrumentally for her. She also got a complementary cake and ice cream serving. Here you see her just after she opened her presents. She also got lots of calls. She's a pretty lucky lady.Tuesday, April 08, 2008
Eighty-seven...still ticking
